Current Information:Born-Bethnal Green Loker Churchyard, Belgium
On 6th December, 1914, the 4th Royal Fusiliers battalion of 9 Brigade, 3rd Division, left their billets Westoutre and moved to the front line trenches at Kemmel where they remained until relieved on 9th December. The battalion diary makes no mention of any casualties during this three day spell in the line but it is likely that Arthur Clifford, who died from wounds on 9th December and who is buried in a nearby cemetery, was wounded while they were there. |
